Will other members ever see my real full name?

Never. As a platform-wide policy, DatePod does not share your real full name with anyone — not in your profile, not in your Intro DatePod, not in your Relationship DatePods, not in messages, not in match notifications, not anywhere on the site. Other members only ever see the first name (or nickname) you selected, paired with your hero title — for example "Alex the Curious Mind." Your full legal name is used solely for identity verification with Stripe and is never displayed to other members. If you ever want to share your real full name, that disclosure happens member-to-member, on your terms, inside your private conversation.

If photos come last, do they still matter?

Photos are revealed at the final step — after you have heard their voice, listened to an AI-produced pod about your potential connection, and seen your Chemistry Spark Statement. Can I cancel and delete my account?

Absolutely. You can cancel your subscription or fully delete your account anytime from Settings — no phone calls, no retention gauntlet, no hoops. Canceling stops all future charges and you keep access through the end of your current billing period. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, voice interview, pods, photos, matches, and messages from DatePod. Identity verification records held by Stripe are governed by their retention policy and are never stored on DatePod servers. If you ever want to come back, you're welcome anytime — though founding-member pricing can't be restored once released.
